What the from-price covers

Every student rail fare we quote is assembled from the same three lines: transport, accommodation and fees. Here is what sits inside the figure, and what you settle separately.

05Student fare rules

Who pays the student rate, and what we check

The student rate applies to travellers aged 17 to 26 in full-time education or holding a valid ISIC card, checked at booking and again on departure.

Two checkpoints

01At booking. Send a photo of your student ID or ISIC card with the quote request. The dated ledger we return already carries the student fare.
02On departure. Carry the original document for the whole trip. Our group leader checks it at the meeting point and again at the first border crossing.

Accepted as proof

A national student ID card with photo and the current academic year.
A valid ISIC card, physical or digital, with a readable expiry date.
An enrolment certificate from your university, issued within the last 90 days.

Turning 27 during the trip is fine if you were 26 on the departure date. Anything outside the age band, or a document that fails the check, moves the booking to the adult fare and the difference is due before departure. Full wording sits in our student discount policy.

05 — Group desk

Groups of 8 to 30 from one institution

One coordinator, one shared ledger, one deposit schedule. Every traveller in the group sees the same from-price line on the same dated sheet.

Shared ledger link is issued to the coordinator and each traveller lists their own bed and breakfast line beneath the group total.

Ask for a dated fare ledger for your route.

Send your from and to cities, your travel dates and your student status. You get back a three-line breakdown: transport, dorm bed and fees, with the check date printed under the total. The quote stays valid for 14 days and nothing is charged on this site.
